My husband has an iphone and I have an android. Which is better to take to France. The last time we were in Paris, it seemed that no one knew anything about droids. Has this changed?
What is there to know about Androids? I use my non-GSM droid on wifi all the time in Europe. Whichever you have, it still must be a GSM phone to work in Europe as a phone, but you can use apps equally well with either on wifi.
I'm not sure why you need people to know anything about iPhones or Androids, but I'd say both are equally commonplace now.
As long as the phone is GSM compatible then both should work fine.
Thank you both for your comments. I had purchased my first droid just before leaving for Paris (that was dumb I know) and had trouble with it in Paris. All they had at that time were apple products.
