International Arrival Waits at CDG

  1. My partner arrives at CDG on Saturday, 30 May, at 9:15. About how long are the waits to clear immigration? She then connects to an Air France domestic flight.

  2. Similar question, I arrive Wednesday, 3 Jun, at 10:25 AM on United and exiting the airport after clearing immigration.

Has anyone used the premium VIP concierge type services? Do they speed the entry time?

Thanks.

I agree with Carol.

Is your partner arriving on an Air France or Delta flight? If so she’ll arrive at terminal 2E and possibly transit to 2F. How long does she have? She will go thru security and Passport Control in 2F.

On United you will probably arrive at terminal 1.

I came thru 2E on April 15 on a flight ending in Paris. My wait was pretty minimal butno other flights had landed. I did have to do the new EES kiosk where you put in your passport, have an automatic picture taken, answered about 5 yes/no questions and had my fingerprints scanned.

A friend came in on United a few days later, no EES but similarly quick processing.

Those are 2 data points among many. Your experiences may or may not be similar.

Pam,

She arrives on JetBlue, probably 2B. She clears immigration, then goes to Air France domestic, probably 2F, with about 4 1/2 hours from touchdown to takeoff.

There are some anecdotal reports of delays due to the new EES system.

She’s deciding whether a concierge or expedited service is worth the fee.

We arrived at CDG on May 3. The EES kiosks were not being used. We went to the E-gates and were through. Not even a passport stamp. Upon leaving CDG on 5/14, it was the same. Each time it took 5 minutes or less. I haven't heard of the VIP Concierge service, but I'm always leery of such things, especially if it costs.

"There are some anecdotal reports of delays due to the new EES system."

Reederman had a good thread going a few weeks ago. I think we concluded as a group that there was no rhyme or reason as to who had to do EES and who did not. Consistently inconsistent. I had the kiosks, they did not. Random, lol!

I don't think Jet Blue has a code share agreement with Air France so she would be a "Self-Connecting" passenger and have to go thru Immigration, collect her bag if checked, exit thru customs in 2B then transfer to 2F. Here is a website that describes it.

I've not done a self connect myself so no advice there. I have only done a same-ticket transfer from Delta to Air France.
