Insane travel day. Need suggestion.

Have you looked at the Trainline?

With some quick searching it looks like you can get to Saarbrücken from Cochem in two hours on Deutsche Bahn. And then from Saarbrücken to Gare de l'Est on SNCF - some are direct and are fast (1:50) and some have changes.

It looks 4 hours of actual travel time is probably the best you can do.

And then you need to get from Gare de l'Est to CDG and I think your best bet is to walk to Gare du Nord and take the RER B to CDG.

Did everything work out ok? I was thinking maybe the Air Canada strike was the cause of your travel changes.

It did. I decided to take Hop flight to Frankfurt and then train to Cochem. I arrived several hours later than planned but I made it! Slept well and started the next day with grateful! Life always has lessons!
