My Rick Steves guidebook on France, almost 1200 pages, is woefully lacking in information on Bordeaux. What is your recommendation for obtaining more specific travel help.
Lonely Planet Bordeaux pocket guide. That’s what we used in 2023.
Possibly DK Eyewiness (Bordeaux & Dordogne) and Michelin Green Guides (but currently new Michelin ones are only in French. See https://community.ricksteves.com/travel-forum/general-europe/are-michelin-green-guides-no-longer-being-published). If you speak or read French passably, Guide Routard. Otherwise, surf the net.
Rick has ignored Bordeaux and the region, other than about 2 or 3 pages on St. Emilion, consistently.
LATE NOTE; for Bordeaux, see the following Green Guide:
https://editions.michelin.com/produits/gironde-landes-lot-et-garonne-2/
For Guide Routard, they seem to have info online at
https://www.routard.com/fr/search?q=Bordeaux#gsc.tab=0&gsc.q=Bordeaux&gsc.page=1
I would also look at the blog: Lost in Bordeaux (www.lostinbordeaux.com) Lots of great info on the city and the region.
Lonely Planet's website is handy.

We also used the official tourism website which I found helpful. https://www.bordeaux-tourism.co.uk/practical-information/bordeaux-tourist-office-welcomes-you
The Aquitine Museum is my favourite museum so far in France.
