Planning to visit University of Lille in Spring 2020. Looking for an inexpensive hotel and/or hostel in a safe area near the Albert campus for 3-4 days. Would be ideal if hotel stay included breakfast and not located near any bars.
When responding, can you also share about how far your recommendationl is from the train station?

HI Hostels is a chain and you can get better prices and preferred booking by having an inexpensive HI membership. In my experience, they're generally well run and clean. As with all Hostel stays, you'll have to pack a towel, soap, flip-flops for the shower and a smaller but robust padlock for Lockers.
