Independent Winemaker Tasting in November

Has anyone been to this? It was mentioned in one of Paris recordings on Rick's Europe App, and it sounds interesting. Does anyone know how to get tickets, and if they are expensive? It looks like a huge event in November, from what I saw on another site, but wonder if it is open to the public. We were fortunate enough to be in Italy for a Barolo tasting, and it was a wonderful event. Does anyone know about this event?

Yes it's a huge event, something like 994 winemakers from every region of France this year. It's geared to people who want to stock up on cases before the holidays. Tickets are reasonable, but the website says details forthcoming. I suggest you read up on the regions, styles, grapes so you can take advantage and try things you won't find in the US. This is a unique opportunity.

as Bets says, a HUGE event out at Porte de Versailles Nov 26-30. It can be overwhelming -- it helps if you decide 'I want to go find a nice affordable Champagne at 19€ a bottle" or "I really want to try Alsatian Rieslings made by bio producteurs" or something similar - i.e. find a focus to organize your visit. Also comfortable shoes as you'll be walking on that concrete floor for hours.

Here's a link to the convention center area where they hold the salon. As Bets said, the specific information for the November salon isn't up yet.
