If you have been to Cité de l'Histoire (by La Defense)?

Help, advice needed.
Has anyone been to Cité de l'Histoire ? The basic one for younger kids, not the VR Notre Dame one. I know some parts are translated into English but how much? I’d like to take my kid there just for fun (not for educational purposes). However, if half of the contents are in French, he might get bored. Its website’s bot says immersive tour 'La clef des siècles!' is translated into English. I think this part involves live actors, so how is it done?

Thank you

Hi,

I went last year because I had really enjoyed the VR Notre Dame so much in 2024. I didn't find Cite de Histoire to be particularly interesting and I am a history buff. I don't remember any live actors but maybe it has changed since I went. All I can say is I thought it was Meh.

Lisa. Thank you so much for answering!!

To be honest, I won’t go if it’s just me. I think it’s for younger demographic. I am taking my kid there for entertainment only. I think it has light and sound and images, that little kids find interesting (not the history part). It’s a break from parks and museums that he has no interest in. But if half is in French, we will skip it… not enough English spearker have gone to give a feedback.
Do you remember if much was in English or French?

I'm really disappointed; I thought it was going to be VR like Eternelle NOtre Dame or last year's Impressionist visit to the salons. We went to an illumination at St. Eustache and the first half hour or so was a history of the church etc with actors doing little skits in French -- It was awful -- I think even if my french were great, it would not be that entrancing.
