IDF Mobilités App

Hello! I tried buying a ticket on the IDF Mobilités app from CDG to Gare de Lyon today for travel in October. But then I think I saw something that said I can't buy the ticket until 2 hours before use? Is this correct?

IDF Mobilitiés would not provide a ticket for CDG to Paris for me yesterday. The Bonjour RATP app would.

RER/Transilien train tickets are paper only and may not be purchased by app, either the IDF Mobilités or Bonjour RATP.

However, it may be possible to purchase a ticket MTA (métro/train/aéroport) electronically. The ticket was new last month and I have not yet attempted to purchase or to use one. The ticket MTA is only available between CDG (11.85€) or ORY (10.30€), and any other métro/RER station. It differs from the traditional ticket origine-destination as the MTA is not destination/origin specific, other than the airport for which it is purchased.

Tickets may be purchased at any time.

The ticket I purchased on September 15, 2024 on the Bonjour RATP app is: "1 Ticket Aeroport CGG zones 1-5". It cost 11.80 euros and is clearly labelled on the app and can be placed in Apple Wallet. A receipt was emailed and received.

I am stunned to learn that I am cutting edge.

Tocard, I just checked, and it looks like you can (and Schteffi DID) purchase tickets on the Bonjour RATP app, and that app is spefically set up to purchase tickets and get on the train via one's phone.

To what tickets are you referring? You have always been able to purchase and to use tickets t+ and airport bus tickets on either app. RER/Transilien train tickets, (point to point tickets) are paper only. The RER/Transilien network does not have the capability to compute point to point fares at exit. This is very likely why the ticket MTA is not exit limited. The MTA is good to any métro/RER station.
