I'm in Arles and need to buy an extra suitcase

Hi! I saw a post somewhere about a good, inexpensive Costco/Walmart-type store in France. I can't seem to find that post again!

I have extra souvenirs to pack, and am wanting to buy a small carry-on for my return trip. Does anyone know of a good store in Arles to find an inexpensive piece of luggage?
Thank you!

There is a Monoprix in Arles -- not sure what bags it carries except for their nylon shopping bags.

Carrefour, Auchan, Intermarché, or E.Leclerc are retailers like Walmart but you probably need car to reach them. You can ask at the Office de Tourisme.

There is a Costco in France but it is near Paris.

You don’t want to use precious vacation time finding a certain discount kind of store. Just find some cheapie duffle bag and yes just ask someone local for somewhere to look.

Some Monoprix are big enough that they have a few luggage pieces for sale — mine in my neighborhood does. But not all.

Good luck!

There are cheap junk/housewares stores all over France and they always have cheap suitcases often displayed on the street along with mops, buckets, umbrellas etc etc -- don't waste half a day cabbing out to some discount store -- just go get a cheap bag at one of these stores.

I've purchase an expandable rucksack with wheels to take home my kid's souvenirs in the past. The super markets have a section with clothes and I believe luggage. The big ones are usually in the suburbs rather than downtown.

Are you in Arles on market day? You might find someone selling bags there.
