Is it true that the museum pass may not be accepted at the louvre museum

If you buy the Paris Museum Pass, you can still visit the Louvre but... You must book a timed entry (free) to the Louvre Museum online, on the museum’s official website here.
If you’re planning to go up the Eiffel Tower, make sure you book your Eiffel Tower tickets ASAP!

And you can't book this ticket reservation until you have the pass in hand, by which time there may be no available slots. I would not bother with the Museum Pass as it now will not allow multiple entries nor convenient Louvre entry unless you have calculated that it actually saves you a lot of money. I would asap reserve for the Louvre and the Eiffel Tower 60 days out when they come on line.
There is no advantage of a museum pass that is not equaled by just having a ticket; get tickets to Louvre, timed ticket to Versailles, tickets to Musee d'Orsay and to Eiffel Tower before you come.
