Hyeres as an cycling anchor

My husband and I are doing our fourth European cycling tour, this time we want to be in the Cote d' Azure. We found a company that has an anchor for four days in Hyeres, then moves to Nice. I am wondering if anybody has a thought on Hyeres as a place to anchor? The hotel they offer is Bor, which seems lovely. Since we will have bikes, we can get around. The other option we are considering is Nice to Genova, which has us in different towns every night along the way. We have done this and it does get a little old moving hotels every day. We liked the idea of an anchor for our biking, but only if the anchor is a decent town. Anybody know much about Hyeres?

I spent a couple of nights in Hyeres in 2017 so I could go to the island of Porquerolles (which has bike paths--bet that's a place you will go). Hyeres' historic center is attractive, and the place wasn't very touristy when I was there in late May or early June--probably because it is a couple of miles from the coast. If you're OK with a town that probably doesn't have a lot of "sights" in the tourist sense, I'd say go for it.

The Hotel Bor is on the coast; I didn't walk around that area at all, so I cannot comment on whether the immediate vicinity is at all attractive. You might check booking.com to see whether the hotel is listed there. If it is, I'd read the reviews.
