how to spent my 15 days in France?

HI .. As a family of 4, ( Husband, wife, daughter 13, son 11 ) , we are planning to visit France for 15 days in last week of August. We plan to stay in Paris for 6 days first. Then we want to visit other city/town in France. Any suggestion where to go? and how long should I stay there? at the end, we need to fly back to Toronto, Canada.

Any suggestions are welcome

I would go towards Normandy and Brittany. It is a lot cooler than anywhere else plus there are some pretty neat things or places to see like Mt St Michel, St Malo, Bayeux, and the WW2 beaches. Look up Normandy and Brittany on the web or in a travel guide book and see if that strikes your family's interests.

You might check in to traveling to the Loire Valley and seeing chateaus and castles. We flew into Paris, drove straight to Rouen, Honfleur and Bayeux for 3 nights and a WW2 tour and then a night at Mont St Michel. After this we drove to Amboise for 4 nights while we toured the chateaus and gardens during the daytime. We drove back to Paris after this for 5 nights and flew home. In all it was a 15 day trip. Amboise was wonderful......easy spot to come home to each night after chateau touring.
Hope this helps! Have a great trip!

Unless you are flying open jaw I would finish in Paris and go elsewhere the first half of the trip e.g. spend a week in Normandy/Brittany and then finish with a week in Paris. This saves wasting your second to last day getting back to Paris for one night before the trip home. At this miserable time of year, I'd probably opt for Brittany/Normandy. or Burgundy or the Loire with a car as it is even hotter in he south.

We recently spent a few nights in Brittany and that included the area around Carnac with the neolithic stone sites; that might be interesting for the kids. The beach at St. Malo with its giant swimming pool might be fun too and it is a beautiful town. We had a great apartment there.

Paris, Normandy, Loire Valley.

Second Trip, Strasbourg then down to Lyon and take a Rhone River Cruise to Arles. Then see the South of France.
