How to save money on transportation from CDG aiport to a hotel in Paris?

Hi,
Q1: Which is cheaper to use to get from CDG to a hotel in Paris that is less than 15 minutes from the Gare de Lyon train station? Taxi or Public transportation.

Q2: Which train or bus route we should take? How much is the transit fare?

Q3: Which store in the airport do you recommend where we can purchase a train or bus ticket?

Thank you so much for your help.

You don't say where. other than 15 minutes from Gare de Lyon. With 2 people, public transport will be 10.30 EUR per person, using the RER and Metro system. You can also get a fixed price taxi for up to 4 people plus luggage for 50 EUR to Right Bank destinations (north of the Seine) or 55 EUR to Left Bank destinations (south of the Seine).
So we can't give exact directions without a specific street address. Public transit tickets can be bought at the airport train stations.

Last time we went CDG into Paris, we found a shared shuttle service was cheapest.

The relative price of taking public transport or a taxi depends on how many are in your party. A taxi becomes cheaper the more people who are sharing it.

If your hotel is near Nation (fits the "15 min from Gare de Lyon" brief), you might want to have a look at bus 351 from CDG "Roissypole" (next to CDG T1 RER Station, you reach it via the CDG VAL shuttle train which is free) or from T1 itself.
Step 1: buy a carnet of 10 "t+" tickets from a vending machine (available both at Roissypole and at T1) or a booth in the RER station, for 15 euros.
Step 2: find the bus stop and wait for the bus (up to 30 min)
Step 3: get on, and validate three tickets per person. Stay on until the end.

And voilà, 60-75 min later you'll be in Nation for 4,50 euros each.

Only recommended if you are very cost sensitive, close to Nation (like, if you need to take a metro from nation, you might as well stick with the RER), and don't have too much luggage.
