Hello! My husband and I are traveling to France in June and will be staying in Lyon for several nights. We'd like to also stay in a Chateau (haven't booked a reservation yet) for at least one night but we may not have a car.
Should we rent a car or is there another way to get from Lyon to a Chateau in the countryside? A shuttle maybe? Or do some of the Chateaus offer transportation to/from Lyon?
Any help is much appreciated!

Which château? The answer would be different for each one. Possibly train, or train + bus or train + taxi.
It also depends on what you will be doing there. If you want to visit places in the area each day, that is an argument for a car.
A "shuttle", if you mean transport provided by a château/hotel, is not common.

Which château, specifically, are you referring to?
Knowing a location would be somewhat useful in advising one how to get there.
