The Roissy coach bus runs from CDG into Paris and stops at the Opera station. From there you take metro line 8 to Ecole Militaire.

If you provide the exact address of the hotel, you will get more precise mass transit directions if that is what you want. For example, Le Bus Direct (Line 2) could work for you depending on where in the Rue Cler neighborhood your hotel is located. Same is true for Roissy bus to Opera and a change to Metro system for Line 8 to Ecole Militaire or La-Tour-Marbourg or RER B to St Michel to RER C. Regardless, the best way, IMO, is a taxi for 55€

We have always used the train and metro for less than $15 each to get from CDG to rue Cler. We have never had any difficulty. I'm sure your rue Cler hotel can give you good transit options too.

Take a regular cab........easy...especially after a long flight. It is easy to find the regular cab line. Rates are set now..I forget what they are, but just write down the hotel name and address and give it to the driver. We stay in the Rue Cler area and it is quite easy. We have always had great cabbies...chatted with them.

I took a taxi from cdg to my hotel in Latin Quarter for $50. The price was pre-set.

I agree with Fast Eddie (Roissy Bus). If you have too much luggage for the Metro, there are taxi lines by the opera house. Go towards the major shopping area and they should be easy to find.

As everyone going to Paris should buy a copy of RS "Paris" book, he has a whole section describing the procedure. Where to find the bus at the airport, the cost, getting off, taxi queue, etc. Enjoy your trip!

A taxi from CDG to the Latin Quarter or Rue Cler has a fixed price of 55 Euro for 4 people and luggage; it is 50 to the right bank.

Just take the taxi and save yourself the headache of dragging luggage onto the RER and even worse .... luggage on the metro.
