I have rented a two bedroom apartment for late June
I would like to know if it is safe to travel solo to
Cap d'agde France or would it be safer with a travel mate?
This is my first time oversea . I have know idea how to get
there? Any suggestions would be most helpful Thank you
DOUG
I would think safety is no issue.
TGV train from Paris to Beziers takes 4 to 4.5 hrs. http://en.voyages-sncf.com/en/
Cap d'Agde is approx 30 mins drive from Beziers station.
Safety not an issue. My friends daughter who was all of 18 just came back from southeast Asia.. now.. thas scary.. lol..
Seriously though.. you will be fine if you follow normal safetly precautions. Do not leave your valuables unattended for even 30 seconds. Keep wallet secure inside zippered compartment in purse.. if man.. do not put wallet in your back pocket.. ever.
Do not get dead drunk and wander around anywhere alone in wee hours of morning.. I would think this is standard precautions that everyone would be aware of even in their own hometowns.
Are you male or female. ? What age group are you?
Hi, Doug. I have found it very safe to travel alone through France and much of Europe, by both car and public transport, and staying in a variety of accommodation (but not usually an apartment). See tips for solo travelers at http://www.ricksteves.com/travel-tips/trip-planning.
