Yea I know this probably sounds like a reach but we have been in London a week, are now off to Paris, and could use some downtime away from crowds. Mom and adult daughter.
All ideas welcome!!

It's far from a reach! Most of Paris, away from the main sights, is actually quiet in August due to many Parisians (myself included) being on vacation.
To give a few examples, areas like rue des Martyrs in the 9th, rue de Bretagne in the 3rd, all the small streets of the 2nd except rue Montorgueil, Palais-Royal, the 6th-7th limit around the Bon Marché... should be reasonably quiet, and quieter than usual.

Parc Montsouris in the 14th. RER station Cité Universitaire.
Avoid Metro, walk or take occasional taxis.
Walk around the Parc Monceau... you might be the only tourists there! And then you can go to the nearby Musée Nissim de Camondo, which is a gem.
If the weather is nice...even in the "busy" parks you can get away from the crowds! I like to go to a small neighborhood park near my hotel when I need a break. Sometimes there are locals there, sometimes tourists, but I can always find a quiet spot.
