How much time before flight?

I’ve been reading posts advising getting to CDG 3 hours before flight time. For our upcoming trip to France, we arrive at CDG in the evening, sleep at an airport hotel, and fly out to Bordeaux the next morning at 8:30. Domestic flight, no passport control, so do we really need to check in at 5:30? We are checking bags, if that makes any difference. Obviously I’m hoping to hear that 2 hours will be sufficient.🙂

You really can't check in at 5:30 AM. The three hours rule applies to international flights. For domestic flights, 2 hours is plenty of time. If you arrive at 5:30, you will sit around doing nothing until around 6 AM.
