It is OK. Personally not a big fan of 2 nights since that is just one day. If it was my trip I would skip Marselles and add the nights to Paris. You cannot have too many nights in Paris.

That looks like a good split of time between those locations. We were in Nice last July, for the finish of the Tour de France bike race, and it was understandably pretty crowded. It was also very, very hot.

Unless you have a burning desire for extra time in Paris (museums, shopping, whatever), then 4 nights each in Nice and Paris, with 2 in Marseille, is a good plan.

I'd skip Marseilles and do 6 nights in. Paris. 3 days for Nice is fine -- one for Nice and a couple to explore along the coast which is well served by trains for day trips.

Im looking at the map...and Im wondering if it will be too crazy to erase Marseilles and do 2 nights in Dijon or 2 or 3 nights in Geneva Switzerland since I have to go up to go to Paris, just a little detour and then from there to Paris ...

If you're looking for somewhere along the way Lyon has it's attractions and would make a nice stop over. Lyon's main attractions are food related since it is considered the food capital of France, but the old town is good to explore, some Roman ruins and long history in the silk/fabric trade. I think Lyon is overshadowed by Paris - which is 2 hours away - so it gets less attention.

Beaune rather than Dijon is the usual tourist city through this area if you're looking to spend a couple of nights in Burgundy.

Have a good trip,
