How far out can you book TGV tickets?

Going in September from Paris to Avignon. Says not bookable yet on the SCNF site?

Generally it is around the 120 day mark and sometimes closer to 90. At this point I would check every other day or so. Should open soon.

Seems as if you could determine that yourself by incrementally changing the date of your trip and iterating until tickets become available. Start in 20 day chunks and then narrow it down with smaller increments as needed to satisfy your curiosity.

They don't necessarily release each date one-by-one. They can release large batches of travel dates, especially in winter for summer travel. But 90-120 days out is the expectation.

You should sign up for an alert for the tickets and then you will know when they go on sale.

The alert will roll in sometime...but not necessarily on the date they first become available.

I've been looking at that trip going the other way. Last I looked, iDTGV had sales up until Sept 10.

Morvegil,

Are you planning to buy your TGV tickets for the day of arrival at CDG?

If so, you must keep in mind that there may be many unforeseen delays (flight delay, passport control, baggage claims etc..) and it's generally not recommended to book your train tickets in advance for day of arrival.

Enjoy your trip!

This site shows plenty of direct trains from the airport to Avignon in August -- but you must specify the Avignon TGV station, not Avignon Centre. There is a quick shuttle from the TGV station into the Centre, which puts you in front of the city gates.

Im going in September 9th. My plane lands at 830am. I figure a 1-2pm Train would be plenty of times considering delays. Also i see you can buy a flexible ticket just incase you need to switch? I just dont want to have a sold out train and I want to travel 1st class.
