We will be traveling to London from Paris via the Channel Tunnel at the beginning of June. We've booked our tickets but are uncertain, because of security and passport checks, when we should arrive at the Gare du Nord to take the train. Should we get there half an hour before departure? 45 minutes? An hour? Thank you for your help.
Your PDF ticket tells you the recommended arrival time: aim for that. 75 minutes ahead is a good amount of time, typically. Ticket check closes 30 min before departure unless you have a super expensive Premier fare, so do not cut it too close.
You can also find this info on the Eurostar website.

Do what your ticket says.
It’s usually 90 minutes beforehand.
The lines move fairly quickly.
If you haven’t been to Gare du Nord before, then plan to get there a bit earlier to get your bearings.
hint - if you don't at first see the Eurostar check in, look upstairs. It is up there.
All border control and security is before you board the train - don't take the official times carelessly.
At the moment the page mentioned above is 75-90. Err towards 90. They don't hold the train.
Thank you all for your very helpful replies.
