How do we get from Nice train station to St Paul de Vence?

Can someone please help us! After our stay in Tuscany, we will be dropping of our rental car in Genoa, Italy and then taking the train, from Ventimiglia to Nice. We have rented a villa (Villa Ophrys) in Saint Paul de Vence.

I have several questions:
Is Nice the closest city by train to our villa in St Paul de Vence?
Where should we rent a car? We will need it from Sept. 14-27.
We will probably get in to Nice around 4 pm. Will the rental companies still be open?

I see that you will be traveling on the Sunday. I think you are right to be concerned about rental car places open late on a Sunday afternoon, both in Italy and France.

I'll let you do the donkey work of checking each one out on the Internet.

Nice is the nearest large city to St Paul de Vence, but there are a number of closer towns, such as Antibes.

St Paul de Vence is certainly well up in the hills - a lovely place. Ask Renoir's ghost.
