My husband and I will be in Bayeux France in 3 weeks and from there we will be going to London. I need help with information that would be considered the best way to get there? We will have already been in Paris and understand that it might be necessary to go back through there.
Thanks for any information!
Cheri
Yep, there are no really good options to travel from Bayeux to London but to go back to and then through Paris
Rome2rio offers several options, but none as fast and convenient as the train. Train to Gare St-Lazare, RER or taxi to Gare du Nord, Eurostar to St. Pancras.
Here is an overview of some options
Or for a different option you could go by ferry from Caen/Ouistreham to Portsmouth and then take a train from there to London. There is a choice of an overnight ferry crossing - or a 6 hour day crossing. The boats are really nice with plenty of facilities and it's interesting to see the boat come into the historic port of Portsmouth.
as long as you don't get a storm in the Channel in early April.
I have to get from that general area to Duxford, England in early June. I haven't made my reservation yet, but I am leaning towards a ferry crossing, and a full-fare Eurostar ticket. Full-fare is very expensive, but it is fully refundable if I don't use it, but available just in case the ferry doesn't run for a variety of reasons.
