Hotels or B & B between Eiffel Tower/Luxembourg Gardend Note Dame

I'm planning a trip for fall 2022, for 2 friends, in our 60s, and thinking about staying somewhere between the Eiffel Tower,Notre Dame area, perhaps as far as the Luxembourg Gardens or St. Germaun. We're looking for small, quaint, on a side street, near some decent restaurants and perhaps a Metro stop and the #69 bus. Merci beaucoup!

Check out Hotel Residences des Artes or their sister Hotel Villa d’Estrees. Perfect location on a side street, half a block from the Seine and directly across from Notre Dame. A block from two metro stops and the RER. In the oldest part of Paris with tons of restaurants nearby. We stayed at the Residences in November 2019 with our 2 kids. We had a jr suite and a double room. The Jr Suite was huge. It has a sitting room with sofa, tv, desk, mini frig, microwave, two burner stovetop. Bathroom has a big tub and separate shower, and huge vanity area. The bedroom is separated from the sitting area by a curtain. The bed is a huge king. There’s a desk. And tons of storage space. Such a rarity for central Paris. There are only two rooms per floor, so it is very quiet.

The double room was a good size for Paris with a queen bed, mini fridge, and bathroom with shower only. But the jr suite really felt palatial.

Our favorite is the Relais Bosquet in the 7th. The Rue Cler market is a block away and the bus #69 covers that area. The hotel is lovely, clean, great breakfast, and very nice staff. There are lots of restaurants for last minute or late night dinner all within a couple of minutes walk. The hotel has some rooms with Eiffel Tower view, and an easy 7-8 minute walk to the Eiffel Tower as is Les Invalides. The Seine is less than a 10 minute walk. There is also a laundry facility just down the street in case anyone needs one. There are also several groceries all within a 2 3 minute walk from the hotel. It's quiet at night, and the rooms are of good size. Recently remodeled with several meal plan options that are awesome. https://hotel-paris-bosquet.com/

Thanks for the suggestions, everyone. I like to hear from those who have experience at a particular hotel.

We always stay in Saint Germain and love the area.

We stayed at Hotel Dauphine last month. We loved the location. While I wouldn’t call the street a side street, the hotel is down a couple of blocks so the sidewalks were not crowded. Lovely bar and breakfast room. Nice attentive front desk. However our room was very very small. I had reserved a superior double but am guessing that they gave us a standard. It was our last two nights in France after being in Provence for a month so we didn’t ask to be moved. https://dauphine-st-germain.com/en/overview.html

We stayed in an apartment in 2018 that is no longer available.

In 2017, we stayed at Hotel Deux Continents off Rue Bonaparte on a side street. This was a bit quieter but a fantastic location as well. Pretty breakfast room, larger guest room and very helpful front desk.

I have not stayed in the Hotel Dauphine, but I would highly recommend the location for your group (I am almost 60 :-). I have stayed in hotels and rented apartments in that area and it is a fabulous location. If you start getting near the Luxembourg gardens and farther south, it gets to be a hike here and there. (The last apartment I rented was about halfway around the east side of the gardens and, while it was really nice to walk through the garden each day on our way out, I regretted not staying closer to the river. My traveling companion who is 10 years old than me, understood (once we had been there for a few days) why I had wanted to stay closer to the river). The Hotel Dauphine is a very central location that will make walking everywhere you want to go easier. Lots of shops, restaurants and atmosphere. The closer to the tower you get, the less central you are. (I've stayed in that area as well) Just my 2 centimes :-)
