Honestly, for 3 nights, I'd not want to pay the cleaning fee for an apartment. I'd go with a hotel but your needs may be different than mine.

I like to stay in the 7th although many people here will say no to that. I like that there are many restaurants plus a number of hotels that I like. I can have wine with dinner then walk home safely, hahaha!!! This was the first place I stayed on a RS tour in Paris and I have gone back to that hotel a number of times as well as others in the general neighborhood. It just feels good to me as an older solo woman traveler.

3 nights -- not only cleaning fees but also the issues of no place to drop luggage early or leave it for later departure, if the airline loses your bags, someone has to wait at the apartment for delivery etc.

If you want an apartment consider an apartment hotel which has apartment like facilities but hotel support. WE have been staying in apartments in Europe for 40 years - before the internet when you used catalogues - and still use a hotel for a short stay like this.

Never thought about dropping out luggage. Thank you. We’d each like our own room so that’s why I thought of an apartment. Not sure if it’s possible to do 3 nights in a decent place for $500 each. Open to hotel names and thank you in advance.

Well, my friend and I went in March. And we rented from vacations in Paris. They told us we could drop our luggage early and if our apartment had not been occupied the night before we could have the apartment early. We literally got there at 9 AM and were able to move into the apartment. Hato say the two bedrooms is really nice. Three nights is a short but still worth considering

I put a link to the apartment we stayed in below. I’m going to tell you that the pictures of the living room are just bizarre but when you’re in there it’s not near that bad. They really need to re-photograph that I was very worried about it but once you get in there, it was nice. And from the living room and the bedrooms, you can see the Eiffle tower. You are very close.

So do you mean 500Euro total for the 3 nights for each of you? Or do you mean 500Euro per night?

If it's 500E total, that's 166 E per night and pretty low for Paris in my view. I would want my own room as well. Just prefer that although I know others are OK bunking in with friends.

Hotel Muguet is quite nice but on a random date in April they are 266E/night for the least expensive rooms available. Breakfast can be added when you are there and it's about 12E

Hotel Beaugency is another I use but I thought when I stayed there in Spring 2022 it needed a refurb. I did not stay there in Spring 2023. The least expensive room I see there is 229 Euro for a single but it's a non-refundable rate. I'm not big on non-ref. rates, especially after Covid but I don't recommend booking that kind of rate ANYWHERE not just Beaugency. I love the staff at Beaugency...everyone is so very nice!

Hotel de la Bretonnerie in the Marais has French style in a historic building with modern amenities like an elevator and AC. The family room and suites would be suitable.

Single, F, 70+, solo traveler. ALWAYS stay in apts as I stay at least 6-10 days. In your case would definitely stay in a hotel. Was in Paris April 6-10 and stayed at Paris France Hotel. A 1910 bldg, fabulous stay, close to 2 metro stops with 4 or 5 metro lines. Shops, cafes, wonderful stores, park, nail salon, church. Loved it.
