Looking for a good/inexpensive hotel for 2 nights near the station. Any recommendations? Thanks in advance.

I almost always travel through this area en route to Normandy. I have stayed in both Hôtel Le Relais Madeleine, and Hôtel Caumartin Opèra - Astotel. Both were fine, basic, chain (I think) hotels within a 7-minute walk to the trains station.

My adult daughter travels solo to Paris several times a year and I often help her find safe, convenient and affordable hotels.
Last week she was at Hotel d’Argenson
on the rue d’Argenson just off Boulevard Haussmann, a 10 minute walk to Gare St-Lazare. She reports that it was a great location, nice rooms and helpful staff. They even upgraded her to a bigger room since she was staying for 7 nights. They have several affordable breakfast options, but she didn’t end up having breakfast at the hotel.
Although it’s close to busy St-Lazare, that end of Haussmann is tree-lined and relatively quiet. The very lovely Musee Jacquemart-Andre is just 3 blocks away.
