We are family of 4 looking for a hotel in August. Open to recommendations and curios if anyone has stayed recently at Chateaux Arpentis or Le Choiseul? We are also looking at Fleur de Loire in Blois. We are really torn between Amboise and Blois. We will have a car but prefer to be within walking distance of one of these towns/cities. If there are other places we should consider we are open. We always find advise on this forum helpful!

We stayed at Chateau du Pray just minutes outside Amboise. LOVED it. Has a pool. Wonderful Michelin Star restaurant.

We stayed at Le Choiseul in Amboise last year in May. It is in a great location along the river and an easy short walk to the town of Amboise. The pool was not open in May, so I cannot comment on that. The staff at the hotel were very helpful. We loved staying in Amboise and seeing the Amboise Castle and gardens as well as Chateau Clos du Luce, the home of Leonardo da Vinci. We enjoyed some very good restaurants in Amboise also.
