Hotels in Paris Good For Families

My daughter and I will be in Paris next March with her twin 9 year old twins. I would appreciate any hotel or apartment recommendations that have even slightly more spacious rooms than most Paris hotels. Kid friendly would be a bonus but these kids have been traveling since they were 6 months old and know the drill. My preference is the right bank but not imperative.
Thanks for any help.

For the hotel, are you looking for one room for all four of you? Or two rooms or even three? Connecting rooms? Also what is your budget? The Hotel le Bristol is great for children and it is about US$1,000 per night per room as compared to the Hotel Astoria Astotel, also great for children at around US$150 per night per room. Given your preference for the Right Bank, take a look at the hotels in the Astotel chain https://www.astotel.com/. They are all on the Right Bank and have a lot of features that are child friendly. They are all slightly off the beaten tourist trail. The most spacious regular hotel room that I ever stayed at in Paris was at the Pullman Gare Montparnasse but that is outside of your preferred area and I do not know if they have rooms for four people. My family of four had two non-connecting rooms.

Rooms that sleep 4 without using a sofa bed are extremely rare in Paris. In November 2019, we stayed at the Hotel Residence des Artes with our group of 4 (2 adults, two teens). They are a small hotel on the left bank, a block from the Seine directly across from Notre Dame. Ideal location.

The hotel has only 2 rooms per floor. By renting an “apartment” in the hotel, you get both rooms. The rooms are accessed via a hallway off the landing. There is a door that can be locked, so no one can access your rooms if the happen to be walking up the stairs.

The rooms consist of a double room with a queen bed, mini fridge, bathroom with shower only. It is a good size for Paris. The second room is a jr. suite, which is huge for Paris. It consists of a sitting room with desk, tv, kitchenette (mini fridge, microwave, 2 burner stove top, and giant bathroom with big tub and separate shower. The bedroom is separated from the sitting room by a curtain. The bedroom includes a desk, king size bed, tons of closet space.

I researched tons and tons of places in Paris. This was our 3rd time to Paris and we’ve stayed in some teeny-tiny places and didn’t want to repeat that for 5 nights. We really wanted everyone to have an actual bed, a mini fridge, and two bathrooms. I looked at hotels and apartments (we like having laundry, too). That said, I’d stay there again in a heartbeat. The area is perfect: half a block from multiple metro and RER stop, charming neighborhood, tons of shops and restaurants nearby. I just looked at prices in March : 370€/nt for the two rooms.

Hi Ida,
In October we (2) stayed at Hotel L'Elyssee, right around the corner from Gare de Lyon. We had connecting rooms. The rooms looked to be newly renovated, sparkling, and best of all two separate, small bathrooms. The rooms are small, and might be tight for 4 people, but we were more than satisfied. We paid $544 USD for 2 nights. But....not kid friendly, if you mean activities, space to roam, etc.

That said, Hotel des Artes sounds great, and I will look into that, next time we're in Paris!

Anything we ever stayed in the 8th, it was small, so have no recommendations there.

Not on the Right Bank, but you might check out this apart/hotel
https://residence-charles-floquet.fr/en
Right next to Eiffel Tower and Champs de Mars

Relais Bosquet has connecting rooms and a nice area, 1 block off Rue Cler where there are tons of restaurants and a 5-minute walk to Eiffel Tower and the Seine. https://hotel-paris-bosquet.com/en/
Shopping in the 8th is less than a 10-minute walk from both
Last I looked they include breakfast (look at their Facebook page for booking with free breakfast if you don't see it on website. We love this place. https://hotel-paris-bosquet.com/en/adjoining-room.html

Having traveled with my twins and one a year older, those rooms begin to feel mighty small when you do Paris "family rooms". The two above are spacious and affordable and easy walk to a lot of sights. Bus 69 stops which will get you all over is an easy walk from both destinations as is the metro.

If you check out Holiday Inn and pullman Hôtels you might find what you need.

Apartments du Louvre, https://www.apartmentsdulouvre.com, have two locations. Its a family business, they manage the apartments in the buildings. Both buildings have elevators and units that can sleep up to 6. My mother and I will be staying in one of their units, So Chic, in the Marais starting 30 Nov.
