Hotels in Montmartre area

Trying to decide between the Hotel Petit Lafayette or the Terrass Hotel in Montmartre for 4 nights in September. Need a comfortable bed and AC. Anyone out there know anything of either of these hotels? Public Transportation access? How about their breakfasts? It appears that the Terrass has a great view. Thank you, Judy

I stayed at the Terrass in April 2016. Yes, it has a great view across the city. I never ate breakfast there so I can't say if it was good. I had dinner and drinks at the roof top restaurant and that was fine. We had Eiffel Tower vIew rooms that were beautifully decorated -- it was the first time that I saw a freestanding egg shaped tub IRL. I liked it so much that I put one in my house. The hotel is in an excellent location for what I needed for that trip except for the day that I had an appoint on Rue Saint-Peres. There are bus stops within a 5 minute walk of the hotel for at least three bus routes. Abbesses metro stop (Line 12) is less than a 10-minute walk, Place de Clichy (Lines 13 and 2) is about 5-minutes away and Blanche (Line 2) is about 6 minutes away.

Stayed at the Mercure Paris Montmartre for 4 nights once. It had one of the most fabulous breakfasts I have ever had. It is on the edge of Montmartre and easy to walk a few blocks and be into the small winding streets. Near the Moulin Rouge.
Did I say the breakfast was superb?

Judy - where did you end up staying? i am looking to stay in December for two nights and the Terrass and Mercure were both on my short list as well as a few others. Did you enjoy your time in the neighborhood?
