We will be in Lyon in May. We have been there once before, many years ago. Does anyone have a recommendation for a hotel.....preferably 3 stars? Thanks, Cathy Nelson

I am staying at one of the Hotel Mercures that was recommended in another recent thread about Lyon but take a look at the Hotel Le Royal Lyon. It looks lovely!

The two we usually recommended to friends when they visited us in Lyon, and the two we generally use when staying overnight for, say, a concert or something, are Hôtel des Artistes and Hôtel des Celestins. Both are in the presqu'île just north of Place Bellecour.
