I'm trying to decide between two hotels in each of these towns. We will need to park our cars (I understand in some we will have to pay). They all seem reasonable and good, but has anyone ever stayed in them and what is your opinion of them? I've read reviews, but they seem fairly equal in each town.
Colmar: The Colmar Hotel or
Hotel Restaurant-Les Maraichers.
Reims: Hotel Crystal Reims Centre or
Inter-Hotel Grand Hotel du Nord.
Merci pour votre aide.
I haven't stayed in either of these Colmar hotels. We stayed in Hotel St. Martin - have you checked it out? You are right, you will have to pay for parking and it will probably be off site. Just be sure not to leave anything in your car.
Another vote for Hotel St. Martin in Colmar. Very good location for walking about the town and close to many restaurants.
Merci for the recommendations!
Judy,
Although it's not on your list, I found Hotel Restaurant Le Rapp to be very comfortable, and in a great location - https://www.logishotels.com/en/hotel/hotel-restaurant-le-rapp-711?partid=661 . They offer a covered car park but I don't have any details on that, as I travelled by train.
Don't forget the I.D.P. for driving in France.
Stayed at Hotel St. Martin last May/June. Nice hotel & great location. Had a room overlooking the town, no noise problems. Does have an elevator, small, but doable.
Enjoy your trip.
Judy- I asked a similar question about Colmar last year. The recommendations were overwhelmingly in favor of Hotel Saint Martin. I am booked there for two nights this coming June. Hope this link is helpful!
