We will be arriving at CDG from Brussels and leaving the next day to fly back to the US. We are looking for a hotel at the airport that is most convenient to the international terminal which for United Airlines I believe is Terminal One. Are there any recommendations?
The hotels at the airport are in terminal 2 or near terminal 3. There is a light rail system (the CDG-VAL) that connects the terminals so getting from terminal 1 to terminal 3 is not a problem. I used to recommend the hotel in terminal 2 (the Sheraton) but as my son would say, it’s fallen off. Maybe Citizen M will work for you: https://easycdg.com/hotels-cdg-airport-de-gaulle/terminal-1-2-3/
For a hotel at Terminal 2 I recommend the 3 star "Les Tulipes" located next to the 2 star French chain "Campanile"
There are times when the rates offered by Les Tulipes are lower than those of Campanile.
My favorite is the Hilton because it’s very easy to get to and from and well-maintained. The Sheraton is resting on its laurels and raising prices as if it’s really a nice hotel when it desperately needs new management and some money invested.

Perhaps we don't share the same definition of "at Terminal 2" but neither of those hotels are on the airport property, and therefore not on the CDGVAL line. Below is a link that shows the hotels that in my mind will be most convenient for Terminal 1...

We also stay at the CDG Hilton. Super easy to catch a flight back to US from the hotel.
I just stayed at the Marriott Courtyard CDG. Hotel is newer with dining and amenities. I would stay again. I came in via train Terminal 2 and left the next morning out of Terminal 1. Hotel is easily accessible by the CDGVal train. Easily walkable from the CDGVal stop if you aren't overloaded with huge bags; I was a bit surprised that it is an outdoor walk, but much of that is covered.
There are several other hotels at that location - Holiday Inn Express, etc.
You get to Terminal 2 from Terminal 1 by public transport. I did exactly just that in Sept since I had to fly out Terminal 1 on United back to SFO. Instead of taking ride share or a taxi from Paris to CDG, I took the RER B from Paris Nord to CDG very crowded , much worse than expected since I was doing that during hour. The only problem is the RER B going to CDG makes 2 stops, which means you have to know stop it is for your hotel., ie the 1st or the 2nd.
The 2 hotels mentioned are accessible from Terminal 2. The shuttle the next morning (Campanile) took me to Terminal 1...simple , direct and no problems.
I prefer staying in Les Tulipes regardless if I do depart from Terminal 1 thanks to United's departure there for SFO.
The main thing is a hotel AT the airport NOT NEAR the airport. There are many at Roissypole station of the CDGVAL -- you take this constantly moving tram to your terminal. We use the Novotel but there are many. The Sheraton is actually at Terminal 2 but has always been too expensive for us. We once stayed at the HIlton where we had the worst meal we have had in Europe (at very great expense) so we don't stay there anymore. The hotel was fine.
If you have an overnight layover and are into CDG early enough, you can grab the RER B into Paris for dinner and then back again. It is about 25 Euro round trip.
