Hello all! Been a few years since I have been here. I will owe hotel taxes only upon arrival. Italy was my last stop and my hotels required payment of those in cash.
I can't remember for the life of me if that is required in France. Can someone please advise? I plan out those Euros and place them in a special place so I'm not caught short of cash on something this important.
What hotel are you staying at? The tax is different depending on if you are staying at a 1 star, or a 5 star palace.
Normally the hotel's website will list the tax.

I have the amount per night - just wondering if I can pay with a credit card or if cash is required.
That is up to the hotel. Some will accept via credit card, or some are cash only. Does their website stipulate what they accept? The hotel we stay at accepts credit cards.
