Hotel Recommendations near Eiffel Tower

Hello! We are hoping to get some insight on hotels that offer a view of the Tower from the room. First time for 1 of us, the other has been there, but in high school quite a few years ago and doesn't remember where they stayed. Would like to spend no more than $230 a night total. Would also like to hear if it's really even worth it to stay near Eiffel or experience an area a little less right there. I did read another forum about the Hotel de L'Empereur - which seems like a nice hotel!

All thoughts and opinions are welcomed!
Thank you! :)

Hotel Relais Bosquet is lovely. It doesn't have a view of the tower but is only a few short blocks away and also near a metro station. The hotel is also in the Rue Cler neighborhood that Rick often highlights.

I've stayed at Hotel l'Empereur and I recommend if you stay here you pay the difference and get one of the view rooms. The rooms on the 5th floor have teeny balconies, others just have floor to ceiling windows. The gold dome over Napoleon's tomb is lit at night and it IS gorgeous. I stayed at this hotel on a Rick Steves tour and then again last year on my own. The rooms are very nice, staff is terrific. The breakfast room is on the small side but there is a nice selection for breakfast and one of the cool orange juicer machines that juices fresh oranges. This is on the corner of a fairly busy street but I have not noticed any street noise when I've had the windows and drapes closed. I did have an odd arrangement last time where there was a floor to ceiling window in the bathroom - it had fabric covering it but I was pretty sure you could be seen at night with the light on. Decidedly quirky.

I've also stayed at Hotel du Champ de Mars which I think has a room or two with maybe a teeny bit of a Tower View. Nice rooms, very Parisian. Breakfast room in the basement, and you are served a roll, croissant, yogurt, fruit and coffee or tea.

I've also stayed at Hotel Londres Eiffel which does have some tower view rooms listed on their website. My only thought about this hotel is that I thought there was a lot of traffic noise. I was not in a view room just on the 2nd floor but facing the street and the direction where you would see the Tower. The hotel is located near a corner of Rue Saint Dominique which carries a lot of traffic. Hotel was nice, is used for some RS Best of Paris tours. Small breakfast room but again nice selection. Very nice staff and a resident dog. Well, he doesn't live there but comes during the day. Yellow lab I think, hahaha.

Another vote for Pam's pick of Hotel De L'Empereur , Everything she says about it is spot on . We are returning for the fourth time this coming Autumn . Have a look here - https://hotelempereurparis.com/ Absolutely dead silence at night , always a comfortable sleep. Plenty of food options nearby , and a block and a half from the metro

Steven, I'm glad you liked it too! The first time I stayed the guy at Reception handed me my key and said...ohhh, you've got the best room in the house. I though he was joking but when I got upstairs it was one with the balcony. I did not see him again during that stay. This last time he was on the desk again on about Day 2 of my stay and I told him the story, gave him a belated thanks and asked how to get a balcony room. He looked at me and said..."I guess we cannot just go knock on the door and tell the guests who are there that they have to leave because you have arrived". We both got a hearty laugh at that picture, then he told me only 5th floor has balconies. Very engaging staff!

I also remembered that I think their sister hotel, Hotel Muguet, just down the street has some tower view rooms. I have not stayed there so no recommendation on the hotel itself.

Siiigh....I want to be in Paris right now....

I stayed at Hotel Londres et Eiffel in May 2017. I was in group of 3 and all of us had Eiffel Tower rooms -- two on the top floor and one an the floor below. We had good views of the top of the Eiffel Tower and had no traffic noise. The best views was from the closest to the elevator on the top floor though the person with that room ended up switching rooms because she was convinced that people in the Eiffel Tower could see into her bathroom. The rooms on the 6th (top) floor were 350€ per room in mid-May but they would be less during low season. The 5th floor room was 270€ per night. I don't really think staying near the EIffel Tower is worth extra money because it is not especially central but I did stay over there because the other two people in my party really wanted ET views and we planned to take taxis or Ubers everywhere because one of us was healing from knee surgery.

Hi LSCS, I've stayed at both the Londres Eiffel and Hotel Empereur and highly recommend them. The Londres Eiffel is very close to the Eiffel Tower. The Hotel Empereur is right across the street from Napoleon's Tomb, steps away from a metro station. Both should be within your price range for a double. Have fun!
