Hello we are traveling to Strasbourg for two nights with our 18 year old daughter. Does anyone have any hotel recommendations? Should we stay in the town? I currently have reservations at Hotel Cathedral and Hotel Baras which apparently is a 10 minute walk in to the town on an old horse farm. Thanks for any input.

Not necessarily a recommendation since I don’t know what you look for in a hotel, but we stayed at the Ibis Strasbourg Center Gare for a night, because it was the only hotel with a room when we got there (there was a conference going on in town that weekend.). Ibis is a budget chain. It was fine and the location is great; across from the train station and a very short walk to the historic center. There are a few other hotels right beside it, including a separate Ibis budget, a Mercure Strasbourg Center Gare, Le Grand, Vendome, and a couple others. It had parking just down the street within walking distance to the hotel for a small fee. Not certain why you have 2 hotels for two nights unless you’re gong to cancel one. The hotel cathedral appears to be right in the historic center while the other appears very close to it. Of the two you have reservations at, I’d choose the cathedral one.
