Hotel recommendations in Strasbourg

Greetings! We will be taking the TGV to Strasbourg for a 4-nite stay (no car) this April. I am researching hotels in the center /petite France area but ratings are all over the place. We're experienced travelers who like "authentic ", comfortable, quieter, walkable to restaurants. Any suggestions? Thank you.

Le Bouclier d'Or - we spent 3 nights there in December! Outstanding service, beautiful hotel, very close to everything!

I like the Maison Rouge, which is dead center in the old part of the city. Walk out the front and you're on the main square. Walk out the back and you're in Little Paris. Tram runs right in front and gets you to and from the main station ASAP if you don't want to walk.

We have stayed at the Best Western Monopole Metropole (5 min. walk from station) and the Hotel Arok. There was one other, but it was so not memorable, so can't say what it was. The Best Western and the Arok were both clean, comfortable, reasonably priced, offered a nice breakfast, and close to everything. The Arok is across the walk park from the train staiton.

We enjoyed staying at the Regent Petite France hotel which is in a lovely area. We were able to walk from the train station to the hotel. It is walkable to the Strasbourg cathedral also. The staff was welcoming.

I stayed here in May. I did not have a car and took the tram from the train station. Very close to the cathedral and less than 10 minutes from Petite France. Not fancy, but perfect for me as I spend very little time in the hotel.

Stayed at the Sofitel - the ORIGINAL Sofitel - and it felt like the original.

I can't believe it's been 10 years, but in 2015 we stayed at the Hotel Hannong and really loved it. The location was perfect, and the room was huge. It's currently the #2 traveler-ranked hotel in Strasbourg on Trip Advisor.

Seconding this. Stayed here in 2019 and it was fantastic.
