We are starting to book our hotels for October, and are looking for hotels in Honfleur (we will be traveling from Vimy Ridge to Honfleur), and Bayeux. We will be going to see both the Canadian and the US D-Day memorials--we have personal reasons to see both. We will have a car, so parking would be lovely.
We would prefer hotels as opposed to apartments, and between 3-5 star hotels.
We are big fans of Hotel d’Argouges in Bayeux. Parking is available and it’s an easy walk to the central part of town.
We like the Hotel Ibis in Honfleur. It is about a 20 minute walk into the harbor although there is ample parking in the harbor area. The hotel is nice, breakfast was good and they have lots of onsite parking, Not being in the heart of town but still on a major avenue going into town, it is fairly easy to find.
I will ditto Hotel d'Argouges. Just there in June and had a wonderful stay.
We enjoyed Hotel L’Ecrin in Honfleur and Hotel Lion d’Or in Bayeux. Both are centrally located, walkable to many sites.
Thank you all! We have decided to stay at the Hotel d'Argouges in Bayeux and are still deciding on several in Honfleur...Very excited for our trip.
