Staying in París for three nights. Would like something close to the center of París with transportation nearby. Range in between $200 to $350 a night. Thank you.
I saw this hotel the last time I was in Paris while I was out in the area and the New York Times just listed it as it’s under $300 per night recommendation for Paris: Oh La La Hotel. It is near Bastille metro station and depending on the time of year of your visit should be in budget. You may want to say when you will be in Paris because room rates vary depending on the month. Also, I assumed your dollars are US dollars.
I recently stayed at the Hôtel Left Bank Saint Germain des Prés, located on 9 Rue de l'Ancienne Comédie. We had a triple room in St. Germain with two grandchildren (11 and 15) and enjoyed our stay there very much. The location was fantastic; close to the Luxembourg Gardens, Notre Dame, Pont Neuf, and countless cafes, boulangeries, patisseries, and much more. It was perfect for walking and the Odion metro stop was a block away.
The large room was great for us because of the layout. It had two single beds near each other (or you can have one double) and the other single was separated by a partial wall and curtain so it gave my grandson some privacy. I believe the cost was around €300 per night for the trip, but if you only need a double, the cost would be lower. The hotel had A/C and a small lift. And the breakfast was very substantial and very good.
When are you traveling?
It's also good to start thinking in Euro since that is what your bill will be. So your stated budget would be in the range of about 175E to 300E. This might be low depending on when you travel.
Thank you. We are going to be there early October.
We had a great stay at the newly renovated Hotel Grand Coeur Latin, in the Latin Quarter right next to the Sorbonne and Pantheon. It was 3 blocks away from the Metro and in walking distance of major sights. It may be a little pricey at $350 a night but it was very spacious with an excellent front desk.
We spent 5 nights in Saint-Germain-des-Pres at the Hotel d’Angelterre. It is a smaller boutique hotel that is big on charm! Hemingway stayed there. It is 3 blocks from the Seine and Les Deux Magots. Musée d’Orsay and Luxembourg Gardens are an easy walk. Metro very close-by.
