Use dollars/euros vs vague terms around here for help from the knowledgeable crew. I can’t recommend the hotel we used enough: https://www.signature-saintgermain.com/
Also can’t recommend the area in general enough. Loved staying there!

Hôtel Université Saint Germain des Prés was moderately priced for a 3-star hotel with good reviews in that area. I would stay there again.
