Hotel near CDG with dinner restaurant recommendation

Hello, my husband and I are taking the Eurostar chunnel train back to Paris from London and arriving at 7:20 p.m. at Gare du Nord on a Friday in February.

Our flight home out of CDG is at 1:10 p.m. the next day, Saturday.

We are thinking of staying in a hotel by the airport that Friday night. We'll need to get dinner, are there hotels by CDG with restaurants serving dinner that are recommended?

Thank you.

the worst meal I have had in Europe was at the CDG Hilton. If I were you I would get a hotel in Paris near the RER B line, especially since your flight is not till the afternoon. Have a nice dinner at a real restaurant in Paris and take the train out to the airport to arrive at the airport 3 hours ahead for US, OZ, South Africa, Canada -- or if Home is elsewhere in Europe 2 hours ahead. With a 1 pm flight, you don't have to leave the city before 9.

That allows a nice dinner and also the pleasure of a lovely evening stroll around Notre Dame which is one of the world's great sights at night -- or a Seine Cruise to see the city at night.

We like Henri IV Rive Gauche when we have one or two nights in Paris and it is close to the NOtre Dame/St. Michel RER B stop to the airport.

I agree with Janet's excellent recommendation. Don't cheat yourselves out of a last night in Paris..

L´Etoile restaurant at the Sheraton in terminal 2 is quite nice. There is also Brasserie Flo in terminal 2F which offers better food than what one finds elsewhere at the airport.

Have to agree with the recommendations to stay in Pars the night before you leave. Enjoy your last night in the city, with all it has to offer, rather than in a bland chain hotel by the airport. You've got plenty of time in the morning to get to the airport if your hotel is close to an RER B station.

We stayed at, and dined in, the Marriott at CDG on our arrival day from the US. We weren't seeing Paris until 2 weeks later and wanted something easy for our first day. The Marriott worked well. Easy and reliable free shuttle to/from the terminals. Better than average dining room. The above posts are correct; you can certainly enjoy a better meal in Paris, but if you elect to stay/dine near CDG plan, the Marriott is unlikely to disappoint. There are several other hotels in the same neighborhood. (Also, the surprisingly charming village of Roissy-en-France is a few steps from the lobby and has restaurants which we didn't get around to investigating. A list here in TripAdvisor: https://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurants-g196587-Roissy_en_France_Val_d_Oise_Ile_de_France.html)

Oops. I was typing this when you posted your decision.

RCA: thanks for your post. Will dine in Roissy...as we have a very early flight back to the US.
