Any recommendations for hotel near CDG airport with easy access to CDG. We will be arriving on train late afternoon on a Sunday from Strasbourg and will just be overnighting near CDG for 9 am flight the next morning back to USA. It will be 3 adult family members and comfortable/clean hotel desired.
Hilton, Pullman, Sheraton, Ibis come to mind. Sheraton is within the airport while Hilton and Pullman are a short ride on CDG VAL shuttle. Many choices and these are comfortable and clean.
Everyone will share their preferences with accolades and brickbats for every hotel close or on CDG. Your choice.
I just stayed at the Novotel CDG Terminal 3 Tremblay at the Roissypole station. Very quiet, clean and comfortable with decent breakfast. Easy access with the CDG Val shuttle to my flight in Terminal 2.
Do NOT stay NEAR the airport; stay AT the airport. There are a bunch of hotels on the CDG VAL at Roissypole. We stay at the Novotel which is just steps from the RER station and the CDG VAL to the terminals. the shuttle runs continuously and is reliable whereas shuttles from off site hotels are less so. The SHeraton is linked directly to Terminal 2 but is pricey. But lots of choices AT the airport.
List of hotels at the airport...

The Sheraton, as others have noted, is in the airport terminal, quite near the train station. It is also pricey because of that. If you like looking out your window at planes, it's great :-). The others in that list are on the CDGVAL line, easily accessible from the train station that you'll be arriving in from Strasbourg, as well as whatever terminal you're flying out of the next day. Besides the Sheraton, I've stayed at the Hilton and the Pullman. All were fine.
A little explanation may help. The CDGVAL shuttle is an automated train that links the three major terminals, which are unhelpfully not named in numerical order. This free, driverless train can get you to, or at least near, hotels, the Metro and train stations. Some hotels are inside the terminal precincts and there are a couple of clusters adjacent to the shuttle and the terminal buildings.
If one has just two nights in Paris before flying out of CDG, could one practically stay at Novotel CDG both nights and take cabs to see a few Paris sights during the one full day?
Jeanm, thanks for the Novotel recommendation. You made finding my last hotel night easy. :)
We have a similar situation and are staying at the Sheraton. For the dates I looked, it was slightly, but not excessively, more expensive than some of the other options, and for me the fact that it's at the airport-- the convenience is worth it for me. Airport hotels are notoriously mediocre, so convenience won out.
