Can you recommend a hotel or area where we could find a reasonable place to stay one night fairly close (but not right at) CDG - we will be arriving late morning or early afternoon on a Sunday at end of Sept and have flight out at 2:00 pm the next day.
We would love to find a hotel not too far from airport that has an interesting neighborhood and more unique places to eat and walk around than what we'd we'd expect if staying right at or near CDG.

Stay in Paris near Gare du Nord instead since you don't have an early flight

Seconded. The suburbs between Paris and CDG are NOT where you want to stay.

There is nothing interesting near the airport with good transportion to the airport. Senlis is interesting but transport is terrible. Stay in Paris and take the train the next day.

Thanks! This makes good sense since we will likely have a few hours both Sun afternoon and Mon morning to walk around and explore.
