We are seniors and love the hoho bus. We need to conserve energy and do not like all the walking when changing lines in the metro. Hotel recommendation?
Ronnie, what kind of budget are you considering for a hotel? Let us know in euros or dollars (not "moderate" or "affordable" or "won't break the bank") and maybe some of us can help you. By the way, instead of using the metro, consider the buses Get a bus map and see how you can get from point A to point B by bus. So much nicer than being under ground.
@ Norma: I think the OP plans to use the HoHo bus instead of the metro to get around.
Busses are cheaper and faster than the hoho busses. Love the hohos when we're tired and want to ride around for 3 hrs and see beautiful Paris... but for getting from point A to point B city busses are better.
Totally agree with Susan and the No. 42 and No. 69 are great for sightseeing.
The Budget Ibis on R Babinski runs about fifty bucks a night. It's a good ways from a hoho route.
The Mandarin on R Saint-Honore is about fifteen hundred. It's within a block of where the big red buses run.
By simple math, the mid-range appears to be: (1500 - 50) / 2 = 725. Is this the number you want to use or can we deviate a bit?
Sorry I figured about 200 a night usd, would like a bit less but it is Paris.
