Looking for hotel and location suggestions for family of 4 (two teens) to stay in Paris. Access to mix of tourist hot spots, restaurants, and leaving for a day trip or two.

Start your "look" in the Explore Europe section of this website. You need to be better informed for any answer to make sense -- right now it would be nothing but idle speculation.
One general suggestion, however: Whatever the teenagers ages, treat them as young adults starting now. If they are involved in the research and planning from the start, they will have a much better time on "their" vacation.

After taking a quick look at your other threads it looks like you are planning to travel in July. I’d definitely insist on having AC in Paris.

To be honest, the Paris Metro is so good that needing to be near a train station for day trips would not be a factor to me.

I’m also researching a trip to Paris with two teens. I’ve found that most places that sleep 4 have a “double” bed and sofa bed. Finding two actual “double” beds in a Paris hotel is next to impossible. And “double” beds in Europe can be small - similar to a full size bed in the US. Sometimes you get two twins pushed together.

I’m looking at getting two connecting rooms, or staying in a licensed apartment rental. Even finding two real beds in an apartment is challenging. The advantage of connecting rooms is two bathrooms. On the other hand any apartment we choose would include a fridge and a washer. Finding an apartment with two actual queen beds and a washer is my goal!

So far I’ve found the following hotels have connecting rooms, decent ratings, and easy metro access: Rochester Champs Elysees, Hotel le Walt, Gavarni, La Perle, Hotel Elysees Regencia.

Absolutely book a place that has ac in the summer. You won’t be able to keep your windows open at night - Paris is noisy.

We travelled with three kids (two teens) and stayed in Le Marais. Loved it because we could walk everywhere from there....Notre Dame in one direction and Le Louvre in the other.

Lots of great restaurants and cafes plus a bakery which in the mornings I took the kids to and made them order pain au chocolat☺

Always lots of people about so felt like a very safe area to be in.

I'd stay in the 14th or 11th and would get two modestly priced rooms rather than trying to find a quad where you all are jammed together and share one bathroom. We have stayed at small hotels for about 100 Euro a night with AC.

I have a teen and preteen, we stayed in the Marais at the Hotel Saint Martin. We had connecting rooms, and it was so helpful. I think they have a few options for larger rooms. The area was terrific-not touristy yet so close to things we wanted to see.
I know some people love apartments, but you can't beat the service you get at hotels. My husband and I needed to see a doctor during our trip-on a holiday weekend-and the 2 ladies at the front desk called around for about 30 min. to find us a clinic that was open. I don't know what we would have done if we didn't have their help!
Good luck!

Hotel Residence des Artes may be of interest. It has Junior Suites with connecting double room. The suites have king size beds and kitchenettes. Each room has its own bathroom. Book directly through the hotel for best price. It’s in a good location, on a side street a block from the St. Michel Norte Dame metro/RER station, with direct trains to CDG and Versailles.

I haven’t stayed there, but I’m considering it for a trip later this year.
