Looking for hotel and location suggestions for family of 4 (two teens) to stay in London. Access to mix of tourist hot spots, restaurants, and leaving for a day trip or two.

If you want moderate prices, start with the Premier Inn chain. They generally have family rooms for four for around 130-160 GBP (price varies from night to night). Good locations would be the Premier Inn County Hall (right near the London Eye), Waterloo, and Southwark, all on the South Bank which has a pedestrian path lined with shops and casual restaurants and pubs.

Where will you go on your day trips? The relevant train stations could be Waterloo, Paddington, Euston, Kings Cross, or others depending on your destination.
