Hotel Le 6 (location) or something similar in Saint Germain?

Hi all

We love the look of this hotel and offers connecting rooms with larger beds (for our family of 4 with two young teenagers).

My only concern is location — we have been advised that being in Saint Germain proper is better for being able to talk to more etc. Any thoughts on this? Or any hotels in Saint Germain that are similar to Hotel Le 6?

Thank you!

The style is totally different and it not in Saint Germain but is close to the river and in as walkable and area as Saint Germain but for decent sized connecting rooms, you can take a look at Hotel Odeon Saint Saint Germain on Rue Saint Sulpice. I believe that Hotel Madison in Saint Germain has connecting rooms but the price will be more than Hotel le Six which, by the way, is a very nice property that is away from the tourist hot spot that is Saint Germain but in a nice area with good transit connections. Years ago in the summer of 2014, we stayed in connecting rooms at Au Manoir St Germain.

You have been advised incorrectly. Le 6 is a wonderful hotel in a quiet area, closely surrounded by many restaurants and cafés. St Germain is full of American tourists who think that being among other tourists is the way to enjoy Paris. I could offer a list of other, similar hotels such as la Belle Juliette on rue Cherche Midi or la Villa Madame on rue Madame, but I would take advantage of Hotel 6 and its environment of actual Parisian residents. The Jardin du Luxembourg is less than 5 minutes away, and the festive atmosphere and cafés around Edgar Quinet, not to mention the market, are not to be missed.

I agree with Tocard. I find parts of Saint Germain too crowded for my tastes. I would much rather be farther out of that mix, especially in the fall when the park will be lovely. The sights in Paris are not in one single location and while proximity to the Seine is nice, there are other aspects to consider as well. Paris is so very walkable and it’s part of the experience, so if you like the hotel, I certainly wouldn’t fret about its location.
