Hotel input in Paris

All hotels are non-smoking.

All hotels are supposed to be non smoking but that’s not the case in actuality (which I found out any after specifically asking the question, I found several hotels that allow smoking in rooms then use an air purifier to clean them).

Yes, in Paris. All smaller hotels.

Years ago, my family of four stayed at Hôtel Relais Saint-Germain in a standard Double room with a queen bed and an adjoining superior twin room with 2 separate twin beds. It was fine. We like the restaurant in the hotel and my husband and I are big fans of L'Avant Comptoir. The location is excellent. We had previously and subsequently stayed around the corner at Hotel Odeon Saint Germain on Rue Saint-Sulpice because we enjoyed the area. We don't stay in that area anymore but we still find ourselves in that neighborhood at least once during a trip to Paris. The rooms were fine -- not super luxe but well done, neat and clean. We like a more modern vibe but it was fine. If I remember correctly and there is every chance that I am not, my children's room had the bathtub and shower open to the room separated by a glass wall, which they hated. They quite naturally refused to shower in front of each other so they took turns coming to our room to give the other privacy for the morning shower.

Thank you so much, that was really helpful feedback. I emailed them and they said the suite does have an enclosed bathroom but it sounds like that isn’t the case in some of the other rooms. It would have been a disaster if I was sharing a suite with my teen son and had an open bathroom! Thanks again for bringing that to my attention. I think based on your feedback I will book that suite.
