Hotel in Paris - Family Friendly

Hey everyone - I am looking for some recommendations on hotels for my family. We’ll be traveling in early August 2025 and staying for 3 days. We have 15 year old twins and a 2 year old. Appreciate all the assistance

for starters you will need two rooms: a double and a triple. Screen on booking.com for that and then look at reviews and maybe call places that look good and inquire about adjacent rooms.

If you clarify your budget window, in euros, and state how many rooms your need, people will be able to better respond with useful information.

Well unless you have an exceptional budget , a suite of rooms for five is hard to find in Paris , and indeed in many European cities - where rooms are generally very small compared to North America .
This is one reason our family of five took each of our three kids in individual trips to Europe - I first did one on one with oldest son ( 13 yrs old ) , then hubby took next son ( 14 yr ) then I took our youngest girl at age 11 .

Hi, I will also be traveling to Paris, but in April and with my 15 and 11 year old grandkids. Here is a thread I started requesting info on family hotels in Paris that might be helpful. https://community.ricksteves.com/travel-forum/france/three-night-trip-to-paris-in-early-may-with-two-teen-tween-grandkids-what-area-to-stay

FWIW, I wound up booking a family room at the Hotel Left Bank in St. Germain.

Also, here is another thread where you might find some good suggestions on things to see. https://community.ricksteves.com/travel-forum/france/ideas-for-paris-with-11-year-old-girl-and-15-year-old-boy

Just be aware that you cannot book a quad room and then show up with 5 people. You will almost certainly be denied the room. It doesn't matter if the toddler can sleep with you or whatever. You must book for 5. This will mean more than one room or a suite of rooms.

The Residence Charles Floquet may be out of your budget but the have very nice apartments right next to the Eiffel Tower. It is an approved aprt/hotel.

Hotel Bedford offers connecting rooms that allow 5 persons.

We've stayed here twice since they have very large connecting rooms. When we stayed in July 2024 we had them set up one of the rooms with three twin beds. Everyone was happy.
Both times we booked using booking.com.

We are a family of five as well. I will be honest, this leg of our 3-week France trip had me literally paralyzed for days not knowing what to do. The sort of hotel I wanted to book was going to be very expensive with the need to book two rooms. In the end, we booked an Airbnb. I may also reserve two rooms with a hotel that has free cancellation just in case the apartment is cancelled on us. I feel really good about it though and the host has been super sweet and very responsive.

I'm chiming into agree that renting an apartment (via airbnb or similar) is likely to be a much better value than renting two hotel rooms. There are many apartments with two bedrooms plus a sofa bed.

Value with a short term apartment - no question.

Will it be shut down by the city as an illegal short term rental - to be determined.
