Hotel in Nice for early October

We are starting our vacation with 4 days in Nice in September and booked Albert 1er (Old Town). After our driving tour of the Luberon and rest of Provence, we will end up for one night in Nice before flying home. We had booked a lovely room in Cagnes sur Mer, but have decided to cancel in order to drop off our car a day early and stay in Nice before our noon flight the next day. We’d like something different from the Old Town but convenient enough to get a taxi the next morning to the airport. Price range $$ to $$$. Looking at Hotel Villa Victoria, but would love suggestions.

The Windsor is often cited. Some like the Jay or Deck as well. The Castle Hill side rooms at Le Meridian are nice as well, a bit small but the balcony has a great view. These are all in the Carre d'Or.

For the hotels in the Carre d'Or like the Windsor, you can simply jump on the Tram line 2 and arrive directly at the terminal. If you have a lot of luggage, a taxi can be called (or use Uber).

I like the Hotel Cigale or Les Suites Massena right on place Massena. The location of the latter is particularly great with a short walk to either the old town or the beach. Both are in the Rick Steve's books.

Thank you all for your great suggestions. It seems like we will have many good choices for that night.
