We will be taking a Viking river cruise that begins in Bordeaux and ends in Bordeaux. I would like to know of any recommendations for hotels (B&Bs) in Bordeaux for the one night before.

The 3 times we've stayed in Bordeaux we've stayed at Hotel des Voyageurs, (https://www.hotel-voyageurs-bordeaux.com/) and always been very happy with it. It 's on the "wrong" side of the River, but there's a tram stop right by the hotel, and it's a short walk over the bridge to the center.

After researching we settled for the best western premier hotel bayonne etche ona. Good location. Going in April so I cannot confirm if this was a good choice? I hope so. A best western, really!

I've always heard good things about the Etche Ona, Karen. And you'll find tons of Best Western-branded hotels here among small independent hotels. It struck me as strange too when I first got here but now I’m used to it. In my mind it usually means it's a good hotel here.
